Resumen

This research is based on the English teaching´s achievements of tenth grade, morning shift, at Laura Vicuña High School about the high and low results at the
end of the first semester in English Language.

Through this document it´s intended to find out the main causes why tenth grade students at Laura Vicuña High School acchieved those results.

This research is focused in the English teaching´s achievments to state the reasons that cause the high and low grades after student´s evaluation.

Taking into acount the limitations that the majority of high schools have, in Masaya City, especially in the subject of English due to the lack of didactic materials for teaching, the strategies and techniques that English teacher uses and, students motivation in learning English as a second language, it´s decided to research and analyze those aspects that affect negatively the English teaching´s
achievements at high school.

On the other hand, this research provides us an important information in order to know and at the same time try to look for possible solutions to help teachers in English teaching and of course to the students in learnig English as a second language.
