Resumen

En España el fenómeno de la migración sigue siendo un tema en debate y reflexión por diferentes organizaciones y entidades, así como por grupos de investigación que trabajan en materia de migración y educación. El aumento de personas de origen en extranjero en nuestro país se ha venido produciendo desde décadas atrás, con la finalidad última de mejorar la calidad y condiciones de vida personales y familiares a través de la búsqueda de empleo y, con ello, la mejora de oportunidades económicas. Así en el año 2009, España sufrió un incremento considerable en relación a la existencia de diferentes culturas, caracterizándose así por ser una sociedad pluricultural y publicándose cifras que alcanzaban más de 5 millones de personas extranjeras (Boletín Informativo del Instituto Nacional de Estadística, nº 5, 2009,5). SUMMARY In Spain the phenomenon of migration remains a subject for debate and reflection in different organizations and entities as well as by research groups working on migration and education. Rising foreign origin people in our country has been occurring for decades, with the ultimate aim of improving the quality and conditions of personal and family life through the job search and thereby improving opportunities economic. So in 2009, Spain suffered a significant increase in relation to the existence of different cultures and characterized by being a multicultural society and being published figures reaching over 5 million foreigners (Newsletter of the National Institute of Statistics, No. 5, 2009.5).
